The Seivert Agency is a multi-generational group of independent insurance agents located in Northern Illinois.
Insurance runs in the blood of the Seivert Family. Ray Seivert started as an agent with New York Life, in Southern California in 1952. A few years into his career, New York Life came calling and asked Ray to open up the Northern Illinois General Office in Rockford, IL and be its Manager. This moved Ray and his family, “Away from the Beach”, to Northern Illinois. Ray had 60 years of service with New York Life when he retired.
Ray’s son, Christopher (Chris) Seivert started working as an agent for New York Life in 1977 out of their Madison, WI office. After a few years, Chris moved to Rockford and started working out of the Northern Illinois Office alongside his father, until Ray’s retirement.
In 2001, Chris’s son Justin started working in the office answering phones and learning the business. In 2006 Justin became an Agent and formally started the Seivert Agency.
In 2008 the Seivert Agency opened our second location in Lake in the Hills, Illinois (Northwest Suburbs of Chicago). This location allows us to service our clients who live and work in the Chicago area.
Chris retired from New York Life in 2011 and joined his son Justin as a partner in the Seivert Agency, brokering life, health, disability and retirement insurance business.
